The National Reference Group

Established in April 2006, the National Reference Group (NRG) was tasked with the objectives of guiding and monitoring the co-ordination of the Congress. The group is comprised of professionals whose experience in the field of mental health and deafness can assist us in developing a world class program.

Our program will place the issues impacting the life skills and liveability of Deaf people in their communities at the forefront of policy development and service delivery. All people within the NRG are committed to the improvement of varied elements affecting Deaf and hard of hearing people experiencing mental health problems.  The NRG are proud that Australia will be able to attract international experts to congress and deliver an engaging program, inclusive of a person’s lifecycle, from early childhood to the aged.
